Strictly Come Dancing bosses 'want to recruit Brooklyn Beckham' for 2020 series

Strictly Come Dancing bosses to have Brooklyn Beckham in their sights for the next season of the show.

The flagship BBC series returns to TV in the autumn and casting directors are said to have made hiring Brooklyn, 20, a top priority.

According to The Sun , bosses are hoping to find a younger audience for the celebrity dance competition and think getting the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham. on board would be a real coup.

The source said: "Brooklyn is the main target for casting chiefs at the moment, because he will appeal to his parents’ fans as well as his own."

It is hoped that Brooklyn's involvement could lead to his parents attending the live shows too.

The report comes after Calum Best warned Brooklyn off of wild antics following his own experiences as the son of an iconic footballer.

“I'd be going out every night but it can affect your health and reputation," said Calum.

However, amateur photographer Brooklyn seems more focused on his current romance with 25-year-old actress Nicola Peltz, who has claimed that their relationship is "forever".

Meanwhile, another potential contestant for Strictly Come Dancing bosses is Royal Family member Lady Amelia Windsor, a model and granddaughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, a cousin of the Queen.

Amelia is 39th in line to the throne and the producers are keen to build on the current Royal domination of headlines.

“Lady Amelia is both stunning and very young, so she should appeal to a young market too,” revealed the source.

It remains to be seen if both stars will end up in the line-up, but the focus on a younger audience seems evident for bosses.
