Strictly Come Dancing: Anton Du Beke admits he misses dancing on the show

Judge Anton Du Beke admitted to Rylan Clarke on tonight's It Takes Two that he misses dancing on the show.

Anton has been on the show for 17 years as a dancer but was confirmed as the judge for this year's series.

When asked about being a judge, Anton said he's "absolutely loving every second of it".

He said: "Since day one, the worst part of Strictly has been getting voted off and having to sit on the loser sofa.

"So sitting on the side-lines till the final and being able to watch the brilliant dancing going on is amazing.

"What I'm really enjoying as well is I love the fact we have a leader board which is volatile.

"I'm really enjoying that because everyone feels like they are still in it every week."

Anton also agreed that it's different being on the other side of the table.

He said: "I would love to be out there doing a number. I'm so envious when I watch these guys dancing and they are doing these beautiful numbers.

"I do get the envy. I think 'Ooo I'd love to be doing that!'"

But Anton says the group dances are something that he doesn't miss as a dancer.

He said: "They are always so unenergetic and I was so far down the back of them the whole time.

"I was down there chatting to Dave Arch. But I do get the envy, I am very envious of them."

Anton also told presenter Rylan Clarke that Sara Davies was his 'stand-out performance' and had made the biggest improvement from week one.

He said: "From doing the cha-cha to week one, to doing the fox-trot in week two which is traditionally one of the most difficult of the ballroom dances - and she pulled it off astonishingly."
