The X Factor returns on Saturday, which can only mean one thing – the new series of Strictly Come Dancing will be just behind it. The BBC is not officially unveiling this year's pack of 16 contestants until next week, but that hasn't stopped the tabloids confidently predicting who they think will be donning the spandex and sequins this year.
Here's who has been tipped so far ...
Fern Britton
After leaving This Morning, could Britton's next challenge be hoofing around the dancefloor? She has previous on BBC1's Comic Relief in March, where she danced to Singing in the Rain in a revealing outfit.
Linford Christie
The former 100 metres Olympic champion would be a sure bet for gold if he agrees to take part, seeing how well sports stars have done in previous series. But will we see the return of the famed lunchbox?
Phil Tufnell
Christie could have competition from Tuffers. The former England cricketer - who won ITV1's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! in 2003 - is already in training after agreeing a fee of around £30,000, the Sun reports. Let's hope the man ironically nicknamed "The Cat" by Aussie cricket fans for his inept fielding is more sure-footed on the danceflooor.
Ann Widdecombe
The former Tory minister says last year's contestant John Sergeant has given her the confidence to appear - if she is asked.
La Toya Jackson
Fresh from mourning her brother Michael, La Toya - who previously starred in Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother - has been reported as one of the contenders for Strictly. The Daily Mirror predicts she will sign up today after making a host of demands, such as her own dressing room.
Lynda Bellingham
In a bid to head off agism claims following the axing of 66 year old judge Arlene Phillips, the BBC is said to be keen for Loose Women presenter Bellingham, 61, to take to the dance floor...
Jo Wood
... as well as the 53-year-old estranged wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie.
Rav Wilding
The Crimewatch presenter will be sure to keep his eyes peeled on the dancefloor if he takes part.
Ali Bastian
The Bill actor and former Hollyoaks star has reportedly already been limbering up, putting in several hours in a dance studio.
Joe Calzaghe
The former boxing champion would be very light on his feet if he took to the dancefloor.
Ricky Groves
Ex EastEnders actor agreed to sign up after he was written out of the BBC1 soap, the Sun says.
Natalie Cassidy
Another former inhabitant of Albert Square, fresh from a spellbinding performance in BBC2 comedy Psychoville, is keen to take part, according to reports.
Ricky Whittle
The Hollyoaks "hunk" has already signed up, apparently.
Zoe Lucker
The former Footballer's Wives actor is in talks to appear, the Sun reports.
Laila Rouass
... as is her former Footballer's Wives co-star.
