Strictly Come Dancing 2021 line-up: EastEnders' Nina Wadia is 11th name confirmed

Strictly Come Dancing confirmed on Thursday that Nina Wadia has joined the 2021 line-up.

The former EastEnders star was announced on ITV's Lorraine, following a week of big reveals ahead of its return later this year.

Nina said of the news: "I've always danced like nobody's watching, so if we blindfold the judges I could actually win Strictly 2021."

Following reports that the series would return to its normal length in terms of episodes, following a reduction last year, it was also said that there could be 15 celebrity names taking part.

Now, the BBC series has confirmed the 11th name on the bill, following two other names on Wednesday.

Strictly Come Dancing confirmed on Thursday that Nina Wadia has joined the 2021 line-up (ITV)

She confessed: "I am so scared.... I like dancing like no one is watching, so we just need to blindfold the judges and I will win.

"I think I should do this before I am too old and I can't walk anymore. I think this is the last year I am ever wearing heels.

"I think a lot has happened in the last couple of years and I just wanna grab life by the balls and enjoy it!"

The former EastEnders star was announced on ITV's Lorraine (PA)

Nadia joins stars including McFly singer and guitarist Tom Fletcher, and comedian Robert Webb.

Both stars were announced on The One Show and were the first names to be announced, alongside TV presenter AJ Odudu.

Bake Off champion John Whaite was the fourth name revealed, with him set to make history on the show by being part of the series' first ever all-male pairing.

He said: "It is an honour, when they asked me if I would be interested I just bit their hand off.

Strictly Come Dancing now has 11 names on the star-studded 2021 line-up (PA)

"To do that and represent the LGBTQ+ community is one thing, but also to see two men or two women dancing together, it is not necessarily about sexuality, it’s about intimacy and respect.

“I think that is gonna be such a great thing in our culture where men are conditioned not to open up and be emotional, and I think it will help to combat that."

Tilly is also known for being the daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay (Handout)

But the names did not stop coming, and the fifth name to be revealed was CBBC host Rhys Stephenson.

Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actress Katie McGlynn will also be taking to the dancefloor, as will BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker.

Dragon's Den success Sara Davies was also announced to be taking part, and on Wednesday fans learned two more names on the bill.

The Crown actor Greg Wise, husband of Emma Thompson, and TV chef and social media star Tilly Ramsay were both confirmed on This Morning.

Tilly is also known for being the daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay.

More names are still to be confirmed it seems, so fans will have to keep an eye out for the next announcement.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
