Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Faye Tozer tops the leaderboard with her first 40 as final six embrace Musicals Week

Strictly Come Dancing fans were overjoyed as Faye Tozer finally got a 40 during the quarter-final.

Tozer wowed with her Sound Of Music theme Charleston during Musicals Week, dressed as a puppet for their routine to The Lonely Goatherd.

The fun and energetic performance earned them a world of praise from the judging panel, with Bruno Tonioli hailing it worthy of Broadway.

He said: “That really was the crowd-pleasing, show-stopping delight. Take it to Broadway.

Fans were so excited about the perfect score, rushing to Twitter to comment.

One wrote: “A 40 FOR FAYE AND GIOVANNI! WOW! So proud of these two! Amazing. #TeamGandT #Strictly.”

Another said: “Yesss!!! Over the moon for Team G&T. Faye and Giovanni's 1st 40 was long overdue #Faye #Strictly.”

“Didn't believe Faye and Giovanni would get 40, but they 100 deserve the score #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing2018,” gushed somebody else.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Sunday on BBC One.
