Strictly bosses 'break reality star ban by signing Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing'

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have reportedly broken their ban on reality stars by signing Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing.

The show has long snubbed famous faces who have made their name on shows like Love Island, Towie and MIC.

However, if rumours that Jamie, 30, has landed a slot are true it could open the door for a whole host of reality regulars to hit the dance floor.

A source told The Sun : "it is a surprising U-turn from the BBC and Strictly.

"They said previously that low-rent reality stars like Jamie would not be allowed on the show but things now seem to have changed."

Strictly bosses are said to have relaxed the rules after struggling to fill the line-up for the 2019 series.

The search for the cast of 2019 is currently underway.

A new judge was finally announced on July 22 - Oti Mabuse's big sister Motsi but she's the only celebrity who has been unveiled.

Other names rumoured to be in the line-up include a number of sports stars including Peter Crouch and Andy Murray.

There's usually someone from The Saturdays in the show and this year's pick is Una Healy as she hasn't taken to the dance floor yet.

Line Of Duty actor Adrian Dunbar, cleaning guru Mrs Hinch and I'm A Celeb champion Harry Redknapp are also said to be in the running.
