A stretch of Sauchiehall Street will be closed to drivers overnight on Thursday.
Council traffic officers say cranage works will be carried out between Newton Street and Holland Street, meaning motorists won't be able to access the route between midnight and 6am on Friday, November 8.
They say delays should be expected as a result.
Local diversions will be in place.
Access will be maintained to Garnet Street and Elmbank Street from Holland Street under escort from traffic management operatives.
