The next phase of the ongoing M8 resurfacing project is to take place at the end of the month over the bank holiday weekend - which means road closures overnight.
The latest stretch runs on the westbound route of the motorway between Junction 17 - Junction 19 at Charing Cross with overnight closures of the carriageway over the week of Friday May 24 to Saturday June 1.

- 8pm Saturday 25 to 8am Sunday May 26
- 8pm Sunday 26 to 6am Monday May 27
- 8pm Monday 27 to 6am Tuesday May 28
- 8pm Tuesday 28 to 6am Wednesday May 29
- 8pm Wednesday 29 to 6am Thursday May 30
- 8pm Thursday 30 to 6am Friday May 31
- 8pm Friday May 31 to 6am Saturday June 1
Alan Murray, Scotland TranServ’s Principal Roads Design Engineer said: “Working in consultation with local authorities, emergency services and key stakeholders we have carefully scheduled these works for a time of low impact.
“A similar scheme to resurface a kilometre of the M8 at Anderston Cross was successfully completed during the same timeframe last year. These closures are important to protect the health and safety of our drivers and the travelling public."
Drivers using the M8 overnight are being asked to plan their journeys with this in mind, and to add some additional journey times.
