Stretch of busy road closed to remove damaged tree branches

A Nottingham road is closed this morning so overhanging tree branches can be safely removed.

A temporary closure will be in place on Clifton Lane, Ruddington, from Pasture Lane Island to Farnborough Road Island today.

Nottinghamshire County Council said the closure will be in place from 8am on Saturday, April 10, to 2pm the same day.

The work will remove "damaged and dangerous tree limbs overhanging the highway".

An alternative route will be in place via Farnborough Road, Ruddington Lane, Wilford Road and Clifton Road.

Works will be carried out by UK Diamond Drilling on behalf of Nuturecare.
