Two men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent.

They have been taken in for questioning as officers remain in the area carrying out forensic investigations, talking to witnesses and making house-to-house enquiries.

Despite the arrests, detectives are still appealing for information in connection to the stabbing.

Detective Inspector Jennie Beck said: "Although we have arrested three in connection with this serious assault, we're keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area this afternoon.

"Your information, home CCTV, dashcam or other images could be vital as we continue to investigate.
