SAMUT PRAKAN: Three people were seriously injured when a group of street-race motorcyclists hit two siblings on another motorcycle in Muang district late Sunday night.
The two were Chanarat Kongkanjana, 17, and his sister Sukanya Kongkanjana, 21. The man suffered broken ribs and ruptured lungs. The woman sustained multiple injuries to her head, limbs and trunk. They were rushed to Bang Phli Hospital.
Their elder sister Panwad Kongkanjana, 23, said they were riding on two motorcycles on Klong Kao Road heading for a late night meal on Thepharak Road at about 10.30pm.
Suddenly a group of about ten motorcycles roared up from behind and overtook them, she said. The last motorcycle in the group smashed into her siblings' motorcycle. The unidentified street racer was also seriously injured, and sent to Chularat 3 Hospital.
