Street festival to close Nottingham city centre road for 16 hours this weekend

Delays could be on the cards for motorists, shoppers and bus passengers this weekend, as a new Nottingham street festival is set to close a city centre road for 16 hours.

Talbot Street will be closed from 8am-midnight on Sunday, June 16 as part of The Maze Festival at Rock City.

A student event, the festival will start at 1pm and include DJs, a ball pit, karaoke, a Lycra party and silent disco.

Diversions will be in place on the day while the road is closed with the alternative suggested route taking buses and cars down Wollaton Street, Toll House Hill, Maid Marian Way, Upper Parliament Street and then South Sherwood Street.

The Nottingham City Centre buses affected are Pink 28, 30 and Orange 35, 36.
