Street cordoned off as police launch investigation into death of 57-year-old in Rhyl

Police have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a man in Rhyl.

North Wales Police were called to Brighton Road, Rhyl, at 7pm on Saturday May 9 to reports of a death of a 57-year-old man.

Photos from the scene show that numerous emergency services attended and an air ambulance landed near-by.

While medical staff in attendance are shown to be wearing full PPE, there is no suggestion that the death is linked to Covid-19 at this time.

North Wales Police later confirmed that the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A force spokesman said a post-mortem revealed that the man had died "of natural causes" - although no further details were given.
