Ahead of Lollapalooza next weekend, some street closings begin Monday

Street closings begin Monday in preparation for Lollapalooza, which will be held in Grant Park Thursday through Aug. 6. Here’s a rundown:

  • Balbo Drive from Columbus Drive to DuSable Lake Shore Drive will be closed through Aug. 13. The Balbo closing extends to Michigan Avenue from 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7.
  • Jackson Drive from Columbus to DuSable Lake Shore Drive is closed through Aug. 12. Jackson’s closing extends to Michigan Avenue from 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7
  • Columbus from Monroe to Roosevelt will be closed at 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7. Additional northbound center lanes on Columbus from 13th Street to Roosevelt Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday till Aug. 7.
  • Congress Parkway/Circle will be closed from Michigan to Columbus from 8 p.m. Monday through Aug. 7.
  • Monroe Street from Michigan to DuSable Lake Shore Drive will be closed from 6:30 a.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Aug. 7.
