More than 20 firefighters fought to contain a house fire in Higgins on Sunday afternoon.
Crews remain on scene at the house on Pennefather Street.
The fire has been extinguished and crews are working to identify any hotspots within the home.
It is believed to have started in the bedroom and the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
No injuries have been reported.
The community is being asked to avoid the area.
Pennefather street is closed between Hodges Street and Edwards Street.
