Stream of light

A line of vehicles snakes its way along the Tomei Expressway in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Sunday evening as travelers return home from excursions outside Tokyo.

The highways and byways in the Tokyo metropolitan area were congested on the first weekend since trips to and from the capital were added to the government's Go To Travel tourism promotion campaign.
