Stray dog finds forever home thanks to amazing grin

An adorable stray dog has found herself a forever home within just days of being handed to a rescue charity - thanks to her incredible smile.

Sybil, the Staffordshire bull terrier cross, found herself in animal rescue shelter earlier this month after being captured by dog warden and placed in a pound.

But she quickly found herself a new home after melting the hearts of visitors and fans with her extraordinary grin.

Sybil came to rescue charity All Dogs Matter near Highgate, North London, last week (Feb 13).

A photo of the grinning two-year-old mutt was soon posted on Twitter by an admirer and she soon won over scores of fans.

And at the weekend she finally found her forever home when an animal lover known as Frankie from Hertfordshire contacted the charity to say she wanted her.

The adorable pooch - who now has her own Instagram page - is now in her new home.

She was named Sybil after Lady Sybil, a character in hit ITV series Downton Abbey.

Laura Hedges, from All Dogs Matter, said there had been “an amazing response on Twitter” and the charity had been inundated by e-mails about the smiling staffie.

She also described Sybil’s nine-day stay at All Dogs Matter as a “very good turnaround for her.”
