Strawberry moon in Edinburgh: what time will it be visible in the sky?

Edinburgh's skyline is set to be lit up by a mesmerising strawberry moon later this week.

The rare lunar spectacle, which occurs in June each year, marks the summer solstice and will be visible in Edinburgh for a short period of time.

According to Nasa, the moon will appear to be red and larger than normal for three days from Thursday morning - however, it will only be visible in Scotland for one day.

People in Edinburgh will be able to see the strawberry moon on Friday, June 5 at around 8.12pm.

Scots have been enjoying some incredible skyline delights in lockdown.

On Saturday Nasa launched their Space X rocket which was visible in Edinburgh due to crystal clear skies

At the end of May, Comet Swan also made an appearance, however, it was only visible to the naked eye with binoculars or a telescope.
