Eleven weeks to go and you're already bored of the election? Don't despair.
There are lots of hotspots of interest: George Galloway versus Oona King, and the permatanned Veritas leader, Robert Kilroy-Silk, trying to re-enter parliament in Erewash. Today, Craig Murray joined the list of potentially interesting head to head clashes.
Who he? Well, he used to be Our Man In Tashkent, and now he's standing against the foreign secretary, Jack Straw, in his Blackburn constituency.
Mr Murray proved a most undiplomatic diplomat, criticising the regime in Uzbekistan for human right violations, including boiling opponents alive, and its lack of democracy, banning political parties and use of torture.
In return, the FCO in London recalled him amid a string of allegations about his drinking and personal life. You can read his account of the whole saga in Nick Paton Walsh's exclusive interview with him last year.
Now, back in London with a £300,000 severence payoff from the Foreign Office, 46-year-old Mr Murray will be standing as an independent candidate against Mr Straw. His platform? Say No to George Bush.
