Strathbungo Window Wanderland to return for 2020

Strathbungo Window Wanderland is taking over one of Glasgow's southside neighbourhoods next month.

Now in its fourth year, the event on Saturday February 29 sees the streets of Strathbungo transformed into a spectacular outdoor gallery.

From mischievous monkeys and terrifying zombies to pop-up bingo halls and a human jukebox, residents have pulled out all the stops over the years to brighten up their tenements through the winter months.

Take a look at the gallery below for some inspiration.

Sarah Reid, from the team behind the epic extravaganza, said: "The success of our event is down to the incredible efforts of the Strathbungo residents and their wonderful window displays.

"Simply create a window display in the front windows of your flat, house, business or shop. Please don't feel intimidated! A 'display' could be as simple as a candle, book, fairy lights or image in a window.

"Or you could go all out and stage a performance in your front room! Simple or spectacular... it's completely up to you."

If you have any questions or would like to help spread the word about the event, please contact Sarah Reid at bungo_window_wander@hotmail.com.

It comes after Mount Florida announced it's hosting another Window Wanderland, which takes place in March. Anyone interested can email moflowindowwanderland@gmail.com.

The events are part of the wider Window Wanderland programme which was set up in Bristol in 2015.
