Stratford stabbing: Murder probe launched after teen knifed to death in London

A murder investigation has been launched after a teenage boy was fatally stabbed in Stratford yesterday evening.  

Police were called to a road near Stratford Park, in Newham, east London, at 6.45pm last night, following a report of a fight.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a teenage boy with stab injuries.

Despite the best efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A post-mortem examination and formal identification will take place in due course.

There have been no arrests at this time.

Officers remain at the scene.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime are leading the investigation.

A Section 60 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act has been implemented across the whole borough of Newham until 12.30pm on September 4.
