Stranraer v Hibs Scottish Cup fourth round tie picked for live TV coverage

The cameras will be on Hibs in the Scottish Cup once again after their tie with Stranraer was picked to TV.

Jack Ross ’ side booked their spot in the fourth round with a 3-1 win over Queen of the South last night.

They travel to Stair Park on Saturday 17 April to try and reach the quarter-finals and their meeting with the League Two side will be broadcast live.

Just as their Monday night trip to Palmerston was, BBC Scotland will show the clash live, which means kick-off has been brought forward to 12.15pm.

The pair go head-to-head for a place in the last eight, where Premiership colleagues Motherwell or Championship Morton are potential opponents for the Hibees.

With Rangers and Celtic being drawn together in the last 16, it opened up the competition for the rest with a number seeing a very achievable route to the final ahead of them.

Hibs haven’t reached the Scottish Cup final since finally winning the trophy back in 2016.

They reached last season’s semi-finals but were beaten 2-1 by city rivals Hearts after extra-time at Hampden back in October.
