Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn teases new role in horror short Tidbit with 'brilliant bat s**t script'

Joseph Quinn will star in Tidbit next year - (Handout)

Joseph Quinn has announced a bold and unexpected career move.

Since winning a legion of fans as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Netflix series Stranger Things and cementing his place in Hollywood with a turn in Gladitor 2, the Brit star, 31, is hot property right now

This summer he will be seen joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in The Fantastic Four: First Steps and he is also set to portray George Harrison in the upcoming Sam Mendes Beatles biopics.

Despite his new-found fame, London-born Quinn hasn’t forgotten where he came from and is teaming up with his old friends from drama school for a new project.

He will star in horror short film Tidbit, which is being written, directed and produced by his fellow LAMDA class of 2015 graduates Henry Leroy-Salta, Alexander Tol and Nathan Hamilton.

Quinn said he is “beyond excited” and “passionate about the project both creatively and personally” due to his close connection with the team behind it.

Adding: "I can't wait to bring this brilliant, bat sh*t script to life".

Leroy-Salta, who will co-write and direct with Tol, described as “a pure unadulterated, unflinching horror movie. It’s bold and nightmarish in its vision”.

“We’re using the genre to explore the psychological toll of abuse, the invisible wounds, and how the past can eat us — in this case literally”.

According to a press release, it will “use horror as a lens to confront the complexities of emotional manipulation, trauma, and power dynamics in relationships. Through a tense and atmospheric narrative, the story draws viewers into a world where the line between psychological fear and physical danger blurs — echoing real-life experiences for many.

Speaking about his involvment, Quinn said: "I can't wait to bring this brilliant, bat sh*t script to life".

Tol added: “This project will be a special experience, reconnecting as artists a decade further down the line to make the type of film we always knew we wanted to make”.

Tidbit is being produced by Safe Hands Productions with filming scheduled to take place in the capital in 2026.
