We’ve been blessed with the first volume of Stranger Things season five and you guys, it’s already delivering everything we could’ve hoped for and then some.
ICYMI, the Netflix behemoth dropped the first batch of episodes for its final season on Thursday, promising an end to the twisted tale of Hawkins, Eleven, Vecna and whatever the hell happened to our beloved Barb.
Naturally, the hype around the show has hit fever-pitch, so plenty of fans have rushed to social media to express just how gooped and gagged they are by all *those* shocking moments.

Warning: Spoilers ahead. Proceed at your own risk.
The biggest twist of Volume 1 is that Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) has powers, a revelation that almost requires jaw surgery from the level of drop.
We learn that tea when Will and the gang pay a visit to the Upside Down as part of the Volume 1 final showdown.
To defeat Vecna (for now), Will searches within himself and realises he has telekinesis like Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and uses the newfound powers to kill a bunch of Demogorgans before they can attack Mike, Lucas and Robin.

The final image of Volume 1 is Will raising his head and looking onward with purpose as he wipes away a nosebleed, which we know by now is the byproduct of using his powers.
In Stranger Things lore, this revelation is quite earth-shattering, but series creators Matt and Ross Duffer said in a post-Volume 1 interview that Will’s powers have always been in the works.
“He’s able to channel these powers from Vecna and use it, sort of puppeteering,” Ross told Variety, with Matt adding that we will “see how far he can take it as you continue to watch”.
The sibling duo also revealed that Will gained his powers after being kidnapped into the Upside Down back in season one, saying his newfound telekinesis “never would’ve happened” were it not for his dalliances with the Vecna earlier in the series.
“We’ve been talking about Will having powers for as long as I can really remember,” Ross said.
“[Will] had a dark version of it in Season 2 when he was connected to Vecna. He could see what he saw, but he didn’t realise that at the time he was able to tap into it in a way and use it against Vecna.
“That’s something he doesn’t learn till this season. It took us a while to build there, but it was something we always intended to do. The details of it were a little rough until we started working on it,” Matt said.
All that tea was bound to send fans into a tizzy. Peep some of the best reactions below.
