Millie Bobby Brown has addressed rumours she’ll be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor, who plays Eleven in Netflix series Stranger Things, was recently reported to have signed up to the cast of forthcoming film The Eternals.
However, she wants to make it clear, there’s no truth to those reports – and if she has a role in the film, she doesn’t know about it yet.
“Everybody thinks I’m going to be in a Marvel movie – not that I know of,” she said during a live Instagram Q&A.
“My family and I have no idea, so I just want to let everyone know that I’m not, as of right now.”
Last month, it was claimed that Brown had been cast as a gender-swapped version of character Sprite, who has been historically written in Marvel lore as an 11-year-old boy with magical powers.
Asked by ComicBook.com about the rumours, Feige cryptically responded: “[She’s a good actor] that would be fun to see in the MCU. But nothing specific, or nothing to talk about.”
A new Stranger Things theory that’s currently doing the rounds suggests Brown’s character Eleven could be directly linked to the Chernobyl disaster in season four.
The third season – also starring Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder and Dacre Montgomery – is currently available to stream on Netflix.
