With production on the fourth season of Stranger Things halted due to coronavirus, the cast has been left out of work - but one star has taken up a job in a slightly different field.
Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin in the Netflix show, is now working in a New Jersey restaurant as a food runner.
The actor, 17, is cutting his teeth in the food industry at a Long Beach Island restaurant where several of his family members also work, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed via his representative.
While the publication reported that Matarazzo is wearing a hat and face mask while on the job, his fame after appearing in one of Netflix’s most popular titles means he was spotted by a few eagle-eyed diners.
Production had been underway on the fourth season of Stranger Things in March before lockdown halted filming.
It is not yet known when filming will continue.
Actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve in the show, told The Hollywood Reporter that he thinks the postponement of filming will make the show even better.
“It definitely gives them more time to write, and I think that that’s always good,” he said.
“I guess there’s the issue of the kids growing, but apart from that, I just think that we want to get the show out as soon as possible for people. That’s definitely true.”
He continued: “The [Duffer] brothers have always been extremely, extremely controlling over… the quality control of the show.”
“So, if this just gives them more time to realize what their vision is, then yeah, I think it could be a good thing. [Stranger Things 4] will be worth the wait, hopefully."
