'Cheeky' stranger sends note to neighbour complaining her flowers are too orange

Not everyone appreciates an anonymous suggestion of advice - with some viewing the 'help' as an intrusion.

No matter how well-meaning it can be, sometimes it just leaves people being uncomfortable.

Whether it's from a neighbour, partner or close family member, it's not always the most welcoming approach.

One woman, from London, left people divided after sharing a note a fed-up neighbour received from a stranger, with some helpful 'suggestions' about improving their flower baskets.

The note said: "Hi, Every year you put out some beautiful hanging baskets.

"Do you think it would be impossible to change the colour of the flowers please?

"It's a lot of orange! Maybe white and red or a mix of flowers.

"They would look lovely. Thank you!"

The post was shared in Reddit's 'Choosing Beggars' forum - which has two million members.

One person joked: "Orange it is!", while another added: "With extra orange to compliment the orange."

A third continued: "And after that maybe add some orange to complement the orange on top of orange? Maybe also a few orange ribbons?"

Another said: "I’d be tempted to paint my entire house orange after getting something like this."

A fellow outraged person, agreed, adding: "Radical suggestion: she can get her OWN baskets and plant her OWN red and white flowers."

One person had a slightly unnerving suggestion, posting: "Put one single orange skewered on a stick in each hanging planter."

Meanwhile, a man shared an angry note they posted from a fed-up neighbou r, who wasn't impressed by his dog's barking.
