So it’s here: the first actual trailer for Straight Outta Compton, the long-awaited biopic of rap legends NWA. Following a footage release back in February, which mostly followed Dr Dre and Ice Cube as they moseyed around the old neighbourhood, we now have an extended look at what the film itself will look like. Directed by F Gary Gray, and starring Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr as Cube himself, Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, and Corey Hawkins as Dre, Straight Outta Compton looks like a straight ahead life story, chronicling their run-ins with the cops, street life, and studio action.
