Stormzy has revealed he is the first person in the UK to be awarded a Greggs' Concierge 'Black Card'.
The grime star tweeted his amazement at receiving the card. It arrived with a video screen congratulating the 26-year-old on his string of achievements, which include six Mobo awards, three Brit Awards and scoring the first number one single of the decade with Own It.
In his tweet, the Londoner wrote to the Newcastle-based bakers: "Are you mad the first Greggs black card @GreggsOfficial
"I have peaked this is brilliant."
'Black Cards' were first popularised by Nando's. The chicken chain offers them to celebrities, who can use them to order free Peri-Peri chicken at any Nando's around the country.
Greggs' card appears to differ slightly, in that it offers a 'concierge' service which will deliver food to Stormzy at his request - no matter where he is in the UK or what time it is.
In a video shared by Stormzy, he shows a message that came with the Concierge Card. It indicates that Stormzy can use the card to order whatever he wants from Greggs, whenever he wants, to wherever he wants.
"It's time to live life like it's golden," reads a video message to the star.
It adds: "So put up your big size 12s, drop us a line, and when you roll in, we'll roll out."
Greggs says Stormzy was also sent a pair of slippers - so he can 'put his feet up'. But the baker is tight-lipped on the other privileges the card offers.
Stormzy, Greggs says, tends to order the Vegan Sausage Roll, Yum Yum and Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt from Greggs' menu.
How to get a Greggs Concierge 'Black Card'
Sadly, there is no way to apply for a Greggs' concierge card. The baker says the service is 'invite-only' and reserved for Greggs' biggest 'fans'.
A Greggs spokesperson said: “Our Concierge card is strictly by invite only to some of our biggest fans. That’s all we can say.”
