Stormzy hits back at Wiley with new diss track 'Disappointed' after fellow rapper released 'Eediyat Skengman'

Stormzy has hit out at fellow rapper Wiley in a newly released track after the pair fell out over Ed Sheeran.

The 26-year-old released Disappointed on Monday afternoon, following Wiley’s Eediyat Skengman (Stormzy Send) coming out on Sunday evening.

In his song, Stormzy details the extent of their bust-up – referring to a row he had with Wiley’s half brother Cadell in 2015 – and also discusses his success as a Grime star.

During the the track, he raps: “I’m so big that the only thing bigger than me last year was Brexit. I can’t tweet, I’m too reckless. I’m too BBC Breakfast.”

It came after Wiley’s song criticised Stormzy’s career and said his music is “watered down”.

In the song, which was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, Wiley said: “You never cared about grime, you just used it. Worse than Edward, you watered down music.”

At the start of 2020, the row began after Wiley hit out at Stormzy for working with Ed Sheeran on the number one single Own It.

When Own It became the first number one single of 2020, Stormzy said Wiley should stop using social media "while drunk."

He added that he felt sorry for Sheeran, who is abroad on a break from music, for having to worry about their spat.

He said: “This is why it’s even worse, because Ed’s the kindest, nicest soul ever.

“He’s just trying to travel the world and he’s probably getting notifications. But I said, ‘Don’t worry I’ll do all the trolling’.”

In August Wiley accused Sheeran of “using grime to look good”.

Wiley and Sheeran worked together on the track You, from Sheeran’s EP No.5 Collaborations Project in 2011.
