Stormzy calls ex-girlfriend Maya Jama 'amazing' and says he wants to marry her

Stormzy has said he wants to marry his ex-girlfriend Maya Jama.

The Daily Star reports the 26-year-old rapper wants to wed the 25-year-old Bristolian presenter and also have children with her.

Stormzy has heavily denied the claims he cheated on Maya Jama last year, which subsequently led the couple to split up.

Now, speaking to Charlamagne Tha God in a YouTube video, Stormzy dubbed her the "star girl" and called her an "amazing woman".

In the video, he said: "Maya is a G, before me… she’s the star girl. She’s a phenomenal star."

After he was asked if they were getting back together, he replied: "I would love for that to happen, but I don’t know…

"I would love to be the man who she… I would love to do all the things that make it work.

"I want to marry her, I want to have her children. All of that."

Stormzy recently rapped about the split through the recent release of an album called Heavy Is The Head.

He apologised to Maya through the release of his song Lessons, which says: "You gave me the world and I gave you disrespect, hand on my heart that is my biggest regret."

Discussing the album, Stormzy said: "I really needed to say all that, I needed to do all that, and get this off my chest… but more importantly, because we had a public relationship and public breakup… it was more so to take the bullet that I deserved and take the brunt of it."

He went on to confess Maya was the first woman he properly loved and said their split has been a "learning curve".

Stormzy continued: "I didn’t know you could break your own heart, breaking someone else’s.

"I love her more than anything, I’ve never loved anyone how I love her."
