Stormzy asks David Beckham and Louis Theroux and more to feature in comeback music video

Stormzy is said to have invited a number of celebrities to appear in his next music video, with the upcoming track marking his first single in around two years.

The rapper, 28, hasn't released a solo single since Still Disappointed, back in January 2020, with the musician set to make a comeback with a third album later this year.

It's been reported that he's lined up a number of celebrities to cameo in the first single's accompanying video, which is said to be filming in London throughout this week.

The names rumoured to feature include Game of Thrones ' actor Emilia Clarke, 35, and documentary filmmaker Louis Theroux, 51, as well as football icon David Beckham, 46.

Discussing the upcoming music video, a source has told the Sun : "Stormzy is pulling out all the stops with his new project and he has called everyone he knows to get involved."

They claimed that he has "approached" Clarke, Theroux and Beckham as well as racing champion Lewis Hamilton, 37, TV presenter Jonathan Ross, 61, and chef Gordon Ramsay, 55.

"It's a great look for them to be associated with him so a lot of stars have leapt at the opportunity," the source said - though added that it depends if their "schedules align."

The outlet reports that the shoot began earlier this week and will continue for a few days and one potential location is the National Portrait Gallery.

The Mirror approached reps of Stormzy and the other celebrities mentioned in this article for comment.

A spokesperson for Hamilton told us that he isn't featuring in the music video.

Stormzy - whose real name is Michael Owuo Jr. - hasn't had an album out since Heavy is the Head in 2019. It topped the charts like his debut album Gang Signs & Prayers in 2017.

His last solo single was Still Disappointed, with him having released Flavour, with Loski, in 2019 as well. He was later a featured artist on Dave's track Clash, released last year.

His third album is expected to be released later this year. Details, including its title and release date, are likely to be revealed by the musician in the coming months.
