A nostalgic haul of old sweet wrappers, crisp packets and fizzy drink cans was unearthed at Formby beach after recent storms.
The turbulent weather dredged up an old family picnic bag, as the severe weather in recent weeks battered our region's coasts.
Among the crisp packets discovered were Rileys Crisps and Murphy's Crisps, along with Jusoda orange cans from the 1970s.
Shockingly it reveals that the passage of time has still not broken down the old litter that was dumped all those years ago.
After the pictures were posted on social media by ECHO photographer Colin Lane, Twitter users tried to pin down exactly how old the rubbish from this beach picnic could be.
Chris Johnson posted: "Jusoda was a 'Fruit Juice Soda' made by AG Barr (of Irn Bru fame) for two or three years in the early 1970s.
"Riley's crisps were made in Scunthorpe until the 80s. It's most successful brand was "Nik-Naks". The firm - founded by Biff Riley - was eventually sold to Rowntree Macintosh.
"Murphy's Crisps was another brand of Sooner Foods (part of Rowntree MacIntosh) based in Grimsby."
