Storm Jorge forces Laois v Kildare Division 2 clash to be moved to Sunday

Laois and Kildare's National Football League Division 2 clash will take place at 1pm tomorrow afternoon following the postponement of tonight's fixture.

The sides were scheduled to face off at 7pm this evening, but Storm Jorge is currently sweeping through the country and is affecting the sporting schedule.

The third storm this month is unleashing violent storm force winds of up to 145kph across Ireland today.

O'Moore Park will be the venue for tomorrow afternoon's rescheduled game.

Mayo and Kerry's Castlebar match has also been pushed back to 1pm as storm conditions batter the west coast of the country.

Laois GAA tweeted: "This evenings match Laois v Kildare has just been postponed due to adverse weather conditions and will be played at 1pm tomorrow in MW Hire O’Moore Park."

Tyrone and Dublin are due to meet at Healy Park in Omagh at 7pm and that game looks set to go ahead despite the adverse weather conditions.

Sunday's National Football and Hurling League games don't look to be in jeopardy as the worst of the storm is forecast to have passed by tomorrow afternoon.
