No room for Klemmer, Graham in Blues squad

NSW stars David Klemmer and Wade Graham are shock omissions from the extended Blues squad after it was announced on Sunday night.

The two mainstays as well as Origin series-winning halfback Mitchell Pearce were not named in Brad Fittler's squad with names added at the end of each week in the finals.

Knights prop Daniel Saifiti and St George Illawarra centre Zac Lomax were both added to the list on Sunday night after Newcastle and Cronulla's seasons ended.

Saifiti was called into the Blues squad for game two of last year's series.

Lomax comes in as a replacement for the injured Tom Trbojevic for the series set to start on November 4 in Adelaide.

There was no room for 14-gamer Klemmer though, despite his outstanding season, while Fittler also overlooked the versatile Graham as his squad swelled to six.

Graham has played six games for the Blues, including the two winning games in last year's series win.

It comes after fellow forwards Tariq Sims and Paul Vaughan missed selection at the end of the regular series, opening the door for Fittler to usher in a new-look forward pack.

NSW Blues extended squad:

Payne Haas (Brisbane Broncos), Jake Trbojevic (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles), Tyson Frizell (St George Illawarra Dragons), Zac Lomax (St George Illawarra Dragons), Cameron McInnes (St George Illawarra Dragons), Daniel Saifiti (Newcastle Knights).
