Storm Eunice: Arran ferry cancelled as stormy weather hits Ayrshire

Ferry sailings to and from Arran have been cancelled for the rest of today.

CalMac announced this afternoon that all sailings between Brodick and Arran have been axed.

The vessel has berthed at Brodick and this also means that the 7am sailing from Ardrossan has been cancelled, officials confirmed.

The announcement comes as weather warnings reman in place for storm Eunice.

CalMac said: "Due to the deteriorating weather conditions and the forecast of continued severe weather, the 12.30 sailing from Ardrossan will be the last sailing of the day."

On the Saturday sailings, CalMac added: "Due to the vessel berthing in Brodick overnight and continuing adverse weather, the 7am depart Ardrossan has been cancelled.

"The service will resume with the 8.20am sailing from Brodick.
