A SEPA flood map is showing the areas that are set to be worse affected as Storm Dennis hits.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued a flood alert for Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, with yellow weather warnings currently in place for rain.
According to SEPA, prolonged rain on Saturday afternoon and Sunday, is expected to "cause river levels to rise and surface water to accumulate".
This may cause localised flooding and the experts say people can expect "local disruption to travel and difficult driving conditions".
SEPA's duty manager Mark McLaughlin said: "Yesterday, we started to experience the impact of Storm Dennis, and the flood risk will become more widespread today as the storm moves across Scotland with further heavy rain."
As reported by Edinburgh Live, things are expected to take a turn for the worse in the capital, with Edinburgh Airport and train operators warning of potential travel disruption.
The Met Office have also said that rain and snow-melt across Midlothian and East Lothian may lead to delays on the roads and railways.
Earlier this week, Storm Ciara saw the Queensferry Crossing close after blocks of ice came off the bridge and smashed onto cars.
