Bad weather has wreaked havoc in Scotland for the second weekend in a row and is causing major travel disruption.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, SEPA shared a map showing the areas that were set to be worst affected by the weather, with Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife all at risk of floods.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) updated the flood alert to "severe" with a "danger to life" in parts of the Borders last night.
People were evacuated from their homes in Hawick and the village of Newcastleton and rest centres were set up for residents.
MSP Roseanna Cunningham said: "Borders hard hit by flooding this evening & understand there are evacuations in #Hawick& #Newcastleton."
Travel disruption is set to continue on Sunday, with 40 flood warnings still in place across Scotland.
Scotrail are reporting disruption on "many routes" today and are urging some passengers not to travel.
In a statement on Twitter Scotrail said: "Due to severe weather, disruption is expected on many routes.
"If you are travelling between Glasgow QS/Edinburgh to Aberdeen/Inverness/Dundee/Dunblane/Perth services may be cancelled or revised."
Yellow weather warnings remain in place for wind across Edinburgh today and into Monday.
