
Communities are counting the cost of flood damage after a month's worth of rain fell in 48 hours in parts of the country during Storm Dennis.
More than 400 homes have been flooded as torrential rain prompted more than 630 flood warnings and alerts across the UK, including five severe warnings in the West Midlands.
On Monday, the situation in south Wales was still said to be "life threatening", with residents describing scenes of utter devastation as the clean-up operation began.
Meanwhile, police fear a woman has died after being swept away by floodwater in Worcestershire. The bodies of two men were pulled from rough seas off Kent on Saturday.
