Storm Dennis 'causing a lot of trouble' as flooding at Muirhouse brings trains to a hault

Flooding on the tracks near Muirhouse is causing chaos for trains across the city.

Multiple services via Glasgow Central low level have been cancelled, delayed or revised as a result of the weather disruption brought on by Storm Dennis.

The deluge has led to a fault in the signalling system and widespread transport disruption as a result.

The Newton to Glasgow Central via Mount Florida service is currently withdrawn.

Taking to Twitter, ScotRail wrote: "Storm Dennis causing a lot of trouble"

"We've had reports of flooding in the #Muirhouse area, and the following services have had to be suspended • Glasgow Central - Glasgow Central via Maxwell Park • Glasgow Central - Glasgow Central via Queens Park."

The following services are no longer affected: Glasgow Central - Neilston and Glasgow Central - Newton via Kings Park.

Engineers are on site at Murihead.

ScotRail is asking anyone at an affected station who needs assistance to use the platform help points.
