Storm Darcy: Three people rushed to hospital after car flips in horror crash on A85

Three people have been rushed to hospital after a horror crash left a car overturned near Oban.

It comes as heavy snow has brought chaos to Scotland's roads as numerous crashes have been reported across the country.

Emergency services raced to the scene following the single-vehicle accident on the A85 near the Halfway petrol station in Dunbeg.

Cops sealed off the road before medics took three people to hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed for around an hour and the vehicle has now been taken off road to be recovered later.

Police say enquires into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Emergency services have been scrambling to accidents across the country as Storm Darcy continues to wreak havoc.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.30 am on Tuesday, 9 February, 2021, police attended a one vehicle RTC on the A85 near to the Halfway filling station, Dunbeg.

"Three people have been taken to hospital by ambulance.

"The road was closed for approximately one hour.

"Enquiries into the circumstances continue."
