Storm damage in 3 districts of Phitsanulok

PHITSANULOK: Summer storms pummelled three districts of this central northern province on Monday, causing damage to buildings and public utilities.

In Chat Trakan district, a two-hour rainstorm flooded the ground floor of a student dormitory at Ban Nam Chuang School in tambon Bo Phak. 

A storm caused a partial power blackout in Bo Phak district for a few hours.

In Wang Thong district, storms hit Moo 3, 7 and 9 villages in tambon Kaeng Sopha.

District chief Akrachok Suwanthong reported that many trees were blown down. A falling tree damaged the roof of Pamai Uthit 6 School at Moo 9 village. At Moo 3 and Moo 7 villages, storm winds blew roofing off six houses.

Another house was damaged in Moo 11 village in tambon Wang Nok Aen.

Governor Ronnachai Jitwiset ordered officials to provide assistance.
