Storm Barra: Hour by hour weather forecast for Leeds as heavy rain and gusts hit

The descent of Storm Barra on Tuesday could cause havoc across the country.

Leeds is braced for strong winds under a yellow warning as some of the rest of Yorkshire also faces yellow warnings for snow.

This comes right after the extreme weather caused by Storm Arwen only a week ago.

Storm Arwen cut off thousands in Yorkshire from power - for many, this still hasn't been resolved - and caused travel disruption across the country.

Tuesday afternoon in Leeds is set to see strong winds yet again.

The day is set to dawn cloudy and cold, with temperatures staying between one and two degrees for the morning.

Dark clouds will start settling in from 1pm, followed by a 90% chance of rain from 2pm.

The rain is set to continue throughout the afternoon and evening until about 7pm.

Temperatures are predicted to reach a maximum of five degrees by the end of the day after the cold start.

The sun will rise at 8.09am and set at 3.46pm.

Leeds is not currently predicted to see any snow, unlike neighbours Huddersfield, Bradford and Sheffield.
