Storm Barra is set to hit Merseyside today with a yellow weather warning in place across the region.
The Met Office has issued a warning for ice and strong winds across Merseyside, with forecasters predicting the strong winds will last until midnight.
High winds are expected to affect much of the UK on Tuesday causing travel disruption in some areas.

People have been told to expect some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport, with longer journeys expected on affected train and bus services.
There could also be some short term loss of power and other services.
Coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and large waves.
A yellow weather warning has also been issued to prepare people for the likelihood of icy conditions.
Ice is likely to develop leading to potentially hazardous conditions after the morning rain.
People should expect icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths making accidents and injuries more likely.
The yellow warning is set to be in place all day.
