And one driver, Gordon Miller, who was on the road near Fauldhouse, said that he came across five cars that had appeared to have crashed at around 8:00pm on Sunday November 28.
It is not clear whether the crashes were separate or not but luckily nobody was inside of the vehicles.
He told the Record: "I came over from Fauldhouse side of the road there wasn’t any barriers up and when I came round that corner it was like a skating rink I was in my 4x4 and started sliding as well but managed to steer out of it."
Gordon posted to other locals online about the scene and warned them to stay clear.

He wrote: "The back road from Harthill to Fauldhouse is like a skate park and cars in ditches everywhere the road has been shut at the harthill side but no barriers at Fauldhouse side so everyone is going over it anyway and opened the barrier at the other side take care everyone."
