Store manager left distraught after racial abuse

A store manager has been left distraught after being racially abused in his shop.

The incident in Arnold Road in Old Basford earlier this month left the victim "shocked and upset."

Officers have now issued two pictures of a man in connection with the incident to help with their enquires.

Police Constable Thomas Stenson is leading the investigation said: "We were called after a man entered the shop, made a purchase and left.

"On leaving, the owner of the store greeted the man. The suspect then followed the owner back into the store and racially abused him.

"We have issued two images in connection with the incident. We are keen to speak to this man pictured who might be able to help us our enquiries.

"We were called on September 7 following the report of a racially aggravated public offence.

"If you recognise him, please let us know and call 101, quoting incident 246 of 7 September 2020."
