- Darrell Sheets, known as The Gambler in the reality show Storage Wars, was found dead at age 67 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, from an apparent suicide Wednesday.
- His co-star, René Nezhoda, claimed Sheets had been subjected to intense cyberbullying before his death, writing, ”Rest in peace Darrell Sheets. Also I know Darrell would want something positive out of this, so he had a guy that [was] really really tormenting him lately. Cyberbullying.”
- Nezhoda urged people to be kinder and consider the impact of their actions, stating, “Just because you watch us on television, doesn’t mean you know us. ... You never know what demons somebody faces and what they go through and what you might push them through. ... It’s just not right, guys. Be better.”
- The Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed they are aware of the cyberbullying accusations and are including them as part of their active investigation into Sheets' death.
- Sheets appeared in 15 seasons of Storage Wars from 2010 to 2023, having previously suffered a heart attack in 2019 before retiring to Arizona.
