Stoppage-time Max Aarons Rangers winner sees punter turn £30 bet into £39k

Max Aarons sparked wild celebrations as he fired home deep into stoppage time to see Rangers claim their first Scottish Premiership win this season.

The full-back climbed off the bench to hit the winner in the 2-1 contest in the fourth minute of additional time.

James Tavernier had opened the scoring for Rangers before Mo Sylla levelled for the hosts on Sunday.

While Aarons launched into a passionate celebration with the away supporters in West Lothian, a football punter celebrated a huge eight-fold accumulator win.

The William Hill customer turned the £30 stake into almost £39,000 courtesy of Aarons' late strike.

The longshot bet had tipped all eight matches to see both teams score, with the end result not being a draw.

In a dramatic end to the bet, both Rangers and Kasimpasa netted in stoppage time to see the tip come through and a huge £38,754.18 payout from the 1291/1 acca.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “On a typically busy Sunday slate of football, one customer has managed to well and truly pull a rabbit out of the hat to win over £38,000 from eight winning selections in a £30 accumulator.

“With dramatic late winners for Rangers and Kasimpasa to land the 1,291/1 acca, it’s a truly inspired punt, and not the kind of thing you’d see every day, so hats off!”
