Nottingham Forest midfielder Samba Sow has been pictured in training ahead of Sunday’s clash with Huddersfield Town.
But Reds fans are unsure what to make of the image released by the club.
Sow has struggled with a knee problem since he made the switch to the City Ground last summer and had been sidelined since February, prior to football’s shutdown.
He was absent again when Sabri Lamouchi’s side returned to action last Saturday, in a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.
The head coach said afterwards that Sow - and Ben Watson - had missed the game as a precaution, explaining: “Because we have a lot of games to play, we don’t want to take a risk.
“They will be ready for the next one, for sure."
Forest have posted a photograph of Sow being put through his paces at the Nigel Doughty Academy as the team prepare to face the Terriers.
However, the 31-year-old had some heavy strapping on his left knee, leaving some supporters fearing he may still be ruled out for this weekend’s Championship match.
Here’s what they have been saying on Twitter.
Sow has impressed in the short time he has been on the banks of the Trent, making 20 appearances in total since his move from Dinamo Moscow.
Of his injury struggles, he said back in February: “I don’t want to play at 60 or 70 percent, as we all have to be even more than 100 percent.
“It is frustrating to miss the games. I had my first injury with the hamstring, come back and have this new injury. I am not happy about this but it is life and my body, we have to fix it and keep going.”
