Stop heaping all the blame on Miliband

Ed MIliband resigns as Labour party leader

Am I alone in being appalled by the feeding frenzy from the Labour party, blaming its defeat solely on Ed Miliband? He clearly made errors of judgment, but he deserves better from his erstwhile colleagues, who would have been proud to serve in his cabinet if he had secured the result the opinion polls predicted. Throughout the election campaign I observed someone who was dignified, courteous and committed, a rare breed in politics. In the last few days, I have been tempted, for the first time, to join the Labour party to fight for the social justice and equality that I believe is fundamental to the wellbeing of this country. But the vitriol that has been heaped on Miliband has caused me to despair that this will ever happen.
